Today I Enter A New Decade....

Man that stinks just to read that. I think subconsciously I'm trying to look younger today on purpose. In my life, I've always wanted to look more mature thinking that I would be taken more seriously if I at least looked older. Yeah, well, today - I don't care to be taken seriously. I just want to not look THIRTY!! Gosh, I gag just thinking that!

On the brighter side of it, this year, I really am going to make a difference in my life. I'm going to be more focused on my family, my friends, my work, and my health. I hope that by the time the next birthday rolls around that I can say this was a great year. It's kind of interesting that my birthday comes right around the time of New Year's resolutions. I think this year, I'm going to make some big ones and do my best to stick with them. I commented on another friend's blog and said that one resolution I will make that I'm SURE I can keep is that I won't stab anyone. That is, I won't stab anyone until someone calls me Grandma again (APRIL). As long as everyone else keeps away from the nastiness that is name-calling, I should be able to keep my resolution.

p.s.
You know what I think is funny? The fact that the word "blog" comes up as a misspelled word on this thing. That's sort of ironic, don't you think?

Happy Birthday! My mom Marilyn who worked with you in the office showed me your site...hope you don't mind. I know what you mean about the decade thing...it is hard. BUT, with it comes more wonderful times! Hope you had a great one!

I just turned 27 and am already dreading the big 3-0.

Now Birthday Resolution - I've never heard of that, but you could start a new trend. Go for it, girl! And I really hope that not-stabbing-anyone-resolution works out for you!

Ha- I thought the Grandma card was funny! (I love, love, love that I'm the youngest out of the three of us!) :P And you're fabulous already, so any improvements will only be icing on the cake.

It sucks to get old. I'm going on 32 this year, and I'm not really that happy about it. I really should have held steady at 25 for a few more years....

Oh, and now I'm going GREY too. That's just swell...

I think I may be the only one who looked forward to getting into my thirties. The 20's were great and I enjoyed them immensely but I'm hoping the 30's will be better and open my eyes more and help me get my "shit" together ;)

Happy 30th! Welcome to the club.

Ha! I, too, have puzzled over the blog spell-checker calling "blog" misspelled.

Nice list of resolutions. Thirty ain't so bad - better than the alternative (death).

Hmmm 30, tough age.. The kind of birthday that makes you ponder life and where you are, the kind that makes you wonder.. The kind that is full of lies about hips, wrinkles, squandered youth, missed opportunities, lost cuteness and a host of other crap! I say embrace 30, you are a mother of two amazing kids, the wife of a exceptionally neat guy, friend to many, choir girl, vivacious, intelligent, creative, occasionally funny, and all around amazing redhead!! I would use the word cute here and through in some exclamation points but you are married and since K-state sucked this year Mike might be in a mood to punch someone!! So let me simply say he is a lucky man..

Happy belated birthday kid ;)
