Which Roller Coasters Should We Ride?

We're planning a weekend trip in May and are trying to decide where exactly to go. We've decided that we want to go to a theme park within a few hours driving distance. Our options are now Six Flags in Arlington, Six Flags in St. Louis, and Worlds of Fun in KC. We've never been to St. Louis, so that would be fun. We could see some sights there that we haven't seen. We could also go to Arlington which has a lot of fun looking rides and the tickets are about $15 per person cheaper if purchased online. Both these places would require us to go as a family of 5 and tote Porter around with us, stroller, diaper bag, and all. Then there's Worlds of Fun. There are a few big benefits to going here. We would be able to leave Porter with one of the grandparents that live there which would free us up to be able to ride some of the rides all together. We would be able to stay with family rather than at a hotel, which to me isn't that big of a deal since I don't travel a lot and don't get to do the hotel thing. It's old hat to Mike, so I'm sure a couple nights without a hotel wouldn't hurt his feelings. Also, we are planning on going back to WoF later in the summer with friends. We could buy season passes and use them again during that trip and also any subsequent trips we would take to KC throughout the rest of the year. But then again, we did want a little "family" getaway and WoF wouldn't be really "getting away" too much, but would be pretty convenient. We're still very open to one of the Six Flags parks, though. I don't know. I need some other opinions. What do you all think?

On a side note, I'm watching Criminal Minds and that show has a way of spookin' me. Why in the world am I watching this crazy thing in this house, at night, when my husband isn't here? I'm a glutton!

The first thing I would do is research which park caters to your kids better. I know mine likes activities and shows more than rides, so I would see which ones had things to tailor to our taste.

My personal taste would be St. Louis. You have the arch and a butterfly palace to visit as well. I highly recommend the Omni hotel, it's extremely cheap and a very upper scale amenities. You can also check to see if the St. Louis Blues are playing hockey.

My vote is Arlington. I LOVE the Dallas area and there is SO much to do there.
