Customer Service?

In my last post, I talked about the 'extra' friendly guy behind the microphone at Taco Bell. Well, last night, I had the opposite experience at McDonald's.
I pulled up to the mic and the guy says,

"Order when your ready".

No "Welcome to McDonald's." No nothing. I thought it a bit strange, but whatever. So I ordered my coke and fries (yes, I know - another nutritious snack).

"Three ten" says the mic guy.

He didn't say "Will that be all for you?" "Please pull forward" "...at the first window". Nothing.

So, I go from almost uncomfortable, overzealous friendliness at Taco Bell to Mr. No Personality and Zero Customer Service at McDonald's. I think I should see what happens at Wendy's or Sonic. Or maybe I just need to knock out fast food all together? My waistline would appreciate that for sure.

or how about the way WAY too speedy service at Wendy's??? I never thought I would say a place needs to slow down their service.....

No doubt!! I've always wondered about that and have commented to them more than once about how speedy they are. The main one I'm thinking of is the one by Little Mexico. Is that the one you're talking about? Where you get your chicken nuggets and side salad? :)

yes, that IS the one I am referring too. :) It bothers me that they are hanging out the window with my sack of food in hand before I even get there. Do they think they are a Nascar pit stop??

I KNOW! I know it's bad, but I purposefully give them exact change when I go there - it throws them off. Have you ever noticed that they have change in their hand by the time you drive up to the first window? Yep. Even if I have the coin and they have to give me full dollars as change, it slows them down a bit. And if they hang my food out the window, I just stop where I am and wait until they pull it back in and stick their heads out the window to look. None of that for me, thanks.

Oh, but it's better than a certain chicken place that Husband and I visited last week where the girl taking our order DIDN'T SPEAK ENGLISH.
