Football Saturdays
This will be the place my family will be sitting every Saturday from now til the end of Kansas State's football season. As you can see by the attire, my husband, and thus my dauther (and step-daughter, not pictured) are big K-State fans. Hubby is a grad from there and one of the biggest football fans I've come in contact with. You really can't hold any sort of conversation with him during a game because you'll be interupted by "GET IN THAT ENDZONE! GET IN THAT ENDZONE!!!!!" or "FUMBLE!!FUMBLE!!FUMBLE!!". So, for the remainder of the football season, this will be my life. Once the weather cools, it will be chili and pumpkin pie at my house to go along with the game!! I do enjoy that!

I'm glad you have such a "silver-lining" attitude about football. I could never stand the game myself - I always sort of considered it Rugby's lesser, wimpier wanna-be little brother - I mean, what's with all the stopping every five seconds - isn't that called a "huddle?" Sounds too much like "cuddle" to me... And the pads? Huh? REAL men don't need all those pads and helmets - what's a few brain injuries and broken bones between friends? And why is it called "football?" They don't kick that odd shaped thing they call a ball (and it's not even ROUND) very often in the game. SOCCER is football - American footbal should be called, um, er...
"Huddleball?"
Sorry. Perils of growing up in Africa - I don't get these American sports...
But I'm glad you're husband has something to look forward to on Saturdays. And I DO like chili myself - especially on Frito chips - mmm.
THAT'S American, isn't it? :)
use it to your advantage-ask him if you can buy something(whatever that is)right before a touchdown-then when they score and he hollers yea!-head out the door to shop-he just gave approval-be careful with this technique-2 or 3 times then he will interupt the ball game to listen to what you really said
Good thinking, Dad! I'll have to definitely try that one! Although, what do I do when he yells "NO NO NO NO!!!!" which he has done on many occassions at the Wildcats. :)
