Today is our little friend Katie’s birthday and I told the kids we were going to make cupcakes this morning to celebrate. When I told that to Rachel, she said, “What are cupcakes?” (of course she knows, but she just had to ask because it was a question and we have about a million of those every day). I told her that cupcakes are like mini cakes. She said, “Oh Mommy! I want a Minnie Cake! And I want a Mickey Mouse cake too!”

Very cute. Kids are so literal. I forget that sometimes.
